Obituary
Beloved father, brother and friend Wendell Gene Martin passed away on September 13, 2022 at the age of 59.
Wendell was born to late Forrest Martin and late Mary Swartz Martin in New Albany, Indiana on May 20, 1963. He was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Martin. Wendell leaves behind two sisters, Rebecca Bratcher (Lenny) and Geneva Norene.
He is survived by his daughters Pearle Jeffers (Joseph) and Jade Leonardo (Karlo) as well as his granddaughter Zoe Jeffers. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Wendell served in the US Army from 1981-1985.
Wendell will be remembered as someone who loved to be outdoors. His daughters recall spending countless days exploring the woods, fishing, and camping with their daddy.
Wendell’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service on October 2, 2022 from 12-2 pm at the Lock and Dam Park pavilion located at 181 Lock and Dam Rd SW, Rome, GA 30161.
Arrangements were entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown, Indiana.
