Virginia Mae “Ginny Mae” (Fowler) Arnold, age 72, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday afternoon, December 31, 2021 at her home in Brown County.
Ginny Mae was born September 24, 1949, at home in Brown County, to her parents, the late Thomas H. and Virgie (Collins) Fowler Sr. She married Gordon “Curtis” Arnold on May 10, 1980 in Franklin. He survives after 41 loving years of marriage.
Ginny Mae was a member of the Cottonwood Christian Church. She worked at Zayre in Greenwood as a Fabric Manager and later worked at the Martinsville Walmart for 15 years. Ginny Mae and her sister, Ruby, co-owned the Sisters House of Crafts in Morgantown for several years. In her free time she was a talented seamstress, carpenter and artist of many mediums. If she set her mind to a project, it would be completed. She enjoyed golfing with her husband all over Indiana and spending time with family.
She will be missed by her husband, Curtis Arnold: children, Pamela McKimmy, Sherry Sallee and Mindy (Jeff) Caballero; grandchildren, Monica McKimmy, Wyndi Scott, Dagean and Braxton Caballero; great grandchildren, Gage Walden, Blaike Walden, Zachary Walden and Kaylie Chergosky; siblings, Allen Fowler, Ruby Hartman, Maxine Branton and Mary Ruth Goodnight; in-laws, Kaye Arnold and Edward Arnold, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ginny Mae was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Deborah Kay; and siblings, Elesmalee “Lee”, Thomas Jr., Robert, Leon, Orville and Paul Fowler.
Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call on from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Brown County.
