Susie M. (Hendley) McCluksy

Susie M. (Hendley) McClusky, age 83, passed away Thursday morning, November 7, 2019 at Homeview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.  She was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of North Vernon.

Susie was born May 12, 1936, in Tennessee, to her parents, the late Wilbur and Ida Mae (Taylor) Hendley.   She was a retired self-employed Home Health Nurse for more than 25 years. Susie enjoyed visiting and telling stories with her patients, friends and family.

She enjoyed tending to her flowers and caring for her dog, Molly. Susie also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Teresa (Mike) Vinson of Shelbyville, Debbie (Bruce) Ring, Randy (Beth Zellers) Rodgers and Jimmy (Danna) Rodgers all of Franklin; siblings: Sara Cox, Mildred Louise Burgdolf, Mary Rodgers, Lillie Eisenmenger, Ray, Walter and Wilbur Jr. Hendley; 10 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Buell Rodgers; and siblings, Billy Hendley and Margie Ward.

A funeral service will be held on Monday at 3 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
