Sharon Lee (Frith) Hampton

Sharon Lee (Frith) Hampton, age 69 passed away Friday evening, January 29, 2021 at IU Health Morgan in Martinsville. She was a resident of Martinsville.

Sharon was born February 1, 1951 in Brodhead, Kentucky, to her parents, the late Maurice and Olavea (Taylor) Frith. She was a 1969 graduate of Martinsville High School. Sharon previously worked for the Coordinated Aging Services of Morgan County as a Driver. Prior to that, she worked as a Clerk at the Martinsville Marathon Gas Station and in the Collection Department for American State Insurance Company in Indianapolis.

Sharon was a former member of the Eastside Trinity Church in Beech Grove. She loved her family dearly and will be remembered by her children for being such a wonderful mom and Nanny who was willing to always be there for them from school functions to sporting events. She was always their biggest fan. Sharon enjoyed watching Criminal Minds and Law and Order television shows. She was also an avid reader of authors, Janet Oak and Judy Bloom books.

Sharon is survived by her children, Olivia Hipsher of Martinsville, Jamie (Matt) Riffel of Martinsville and Stephanie Ramsey of Greenwood; brother, Mike (Doris) Frith of New Whiteland; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Hampton; grandson, Derek Hipsher; brother, Maurice Frith Jr.; and son in law, Michael Ramsey.

The Rev. Aaron Frith will conduct a graveside service on Thursday at 2 p.m. at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Funeral services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
