Shana LaVerne (Rogers) Swabb

Shana LaVerne (Rogers) Swabb, age 57 passed away all too soon Monday morning, March 14, 2022 at her mother’s home in Morgantown. She was a resident of Morgantown and former resident of Pennsylvania.

Shana was born October 4, 1964, in Monroe County to her parents Jewel and Mary Jane (Rodgers) Rogers. She was a1982 graduate from Bean Blossom Baptist School and later married James “Jim” Swabb in 1984. They began a life together and were blessed with three daughters. Jim preceded Shana in death on May 26, 2021 after 37 loving years of marriage.

Shana was an avid animal lover and enjoyed raising cats and chickens. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She will be missed by her children, Kristy Swabb of Morgantown, Mary Swabb of Bloomington and Barbara Swabb of Indianapolis; mother, Mary Jane Richards of Morgantown; and siblings, Diane Rogers of Morgantown and Clover Phillips of Trevlac.

Shana was preceded in death by her father Jewel, and husband Jim.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2nd at Bear Creek Cemetery in Brown County. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
