Sandra (Chitwood) Moore

Sandra “Sandi” (Chitwood) Moore, age 63, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was a resident of North Vernon.

Sandi was born December 23, 1957, in Bloomington, to her parents, the late Allen E. and Gerry Chitwood.  She worked at Benchmark Human Services in Columbus as a Psychiatric Attendant before retiring in 2021. Sandi enjoyed her job and the people she worked with, but most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her children: Trever Chitwood of North Vernon and Shyla Moore of Mexico, siblings: Alana, her husband Craig, Porritt of Nashville and Yvonne Oaks of Virginia as well as several close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: J.R. Stedman, Cathy Lynn, Rachael Sheppard and Marylin Chitwood and step-mother: Jean Chitwood.

No services will be held at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
