Sandra Belle (Huxley) Ledford

Sandra Belle Ledford, age 71, passed peacefully surrounded by her family Monday evening, April 22, 2024.

Sandy was born July 8, 1952 in Beech Grove, Indiana to her parents the late Paul Huxley Sr. and Elizabeth Belle Huxley. She married the love of her life, Charlie Ledford, on November 27, 1971.

Sandy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being with her family and was blessed with 2 daughters, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Sandy was a member of the House of Refuge Church in Bimble, Kentucky. She loved going to church, reading her bible and found joy in making people laugh. Sandy enjoyed being in the outdoors by fishing and taking long walks. She loved working in her garden, horses and red cardinals. Most of all, Sandy loved spending time with her family.

She will be missed by her loving husband of 53 years, Charlie Ledford, daughters, Stacie (Jeremy) Baker of Morgantown, Verley Ledford of Brown County; grandchildren, Lindsey (Craig) Zupancic of Morgantown, Tyler (Karleigh) Baker of Greenwood, Susan (Chase) Baker, Lauren (fiancé Garrett) Baker and Sierra Baker all of Morgantown, Savannah King of Michigan, Khaley Ann of Edinburgh, Charles King of Colorado and Devin Lawson of Greenwood; great grandchildren: Darcy & Dawson Zupancic, Cooper & Carter Malan all of Morgantown and Greyson Elliott of Michigan; and a brother Charlie Huxley of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul Huxley Jr.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 26th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27th at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
