Samuel "Sam" Levi Griffith

Samuel “Sam” Levi Griffith, age 55, passed away all too soon on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at IU Health Methodist in Indianapolis.  He was a resident of Morgantown.

Sam was born August 29, 1964, in Morgan County, to the late Harry and Barbara Lee (Coville) Griffith. He attended Indian Creek High School.  Sam was self-employed in the construction industry and was known for his carpentry skills.

He was also known for his love of art. Drawing and detailing allowed him to show off his amazing skills and ability. Art was his true passion, along with playing his guitar and mushroom hunting. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Sam will be missed by his wife, Patricia Mae (Johnson) Griffith of Morgantown, daughter Amber, husband Jeremiah, Sauer of Nineveh and sons: Levi Colt Griffith of Franklin and Jacob Matthew Griffith of Martinsville, siblings: Leisa, husband Ronnie, McIntosh of Martinsville and Mike, wife Kay, Griffith of Orleans.

Sam was preceded in death by his father Harry Griffith and mother Barbara Lee Davis, brother Daniel “Danny” Griffith and an infant daughter Samantha Mae Griffith.

A private committal will be held at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
