Samuel Watkins Obituary

Samuel D. Watkins, age 72 passed away Friday afternoon, July 3, 2020 at IU Bloomington Hospice House. He was a resident of Franklin and former resident of Morgantown.

Samuel was born April 17, 1948, at home in Lafayette, Tennessee, to his parents the late James Leon and Frances (Goodall) Watkins.  He served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Samuel was a truck driver most of his adult life. He loved old cars and was an avid motorcycle rider. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family. He will be remembered most for his love for God, family and many friends.

He is survived by his daughter Felisha (Jason) Houp of Georgia, siblings: Nathaniel (Dottie) Watkins of Bargersville, and Mary R. Watkins of Franklin, 2 grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and niece: Kelli Moore.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to  Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
