Ruby A. (Dicks) Stevens-Koch

Ruby A. (Dicks) Stevens-Koch, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, May 1, 2020 at her home in Nashville.

She was born January 20, 1940 in northern Indiana, to her parents, the late Orval and Estellia May (Carr) Dicks.  Ruby attended High School in Colburn, Indiana. From 1973 to 1985, she was the owner and operator of Stevens & Son Egg Farm in Fowler, Indiana and the Circle Egg in Pine Village, Indiana.

Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her chickens and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Ruby also enjoyed listening to southern gospel music on the radio and working crossword puzzles as well as any other game that would give her a challenge.

She is survived by her husband, Joe W. Koch, whom she married on August 1, 2000 in Nashville. Ruby is also survived by daughters, Mary Ann (Mark) Cave of Pollard, Arkansas and Connie (Darrell) Catt of Camden; daughter-in-law, Judy Stevens of Camden; grandchildren, Sunshine Payne of Pollard, Arkansas, Mark Cave, Jr. of Southaven, Mississippi, Travis (Angie) Stevens of Brookston, Dustin Stevens of Camden and Brandy (Allen) Bumbleburg of Frankfort; great grandchildren, Skylar, Jeffery and Katelynd Stevens, all of Brookston.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; previous husband of 40 years, Glen Stevens; children, Betty Stevens and Darrell Stevens; siblings, Juanita “Tootie” Pattengale, Sammy, John and Robert Dicks; and a great grandson, Peyton Stevens.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Musselman Cemetery near Camden, Indiana. Funeral services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
