Rosina M (Jelase) Reese

Rosina M. (Jelase) Reese, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, October 9, 2021 at Christina Place in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of Brown County.

Rosina was born Oct. 13, 1927 in Indianapolis to her parents, the late Frank and Lucille (Sferruzzi) Jelase. She was a 1945 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis and went on to retire from Indiana Farm Bureau Co-op in Indianapolis after 25 years of service as a secretary.

Rosina is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joe D. Reese, whom she married on May 31, 1969 in Indianapolis. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Dawn (Damon) Moore of Indianapolis; great granddaughter, Gabrielle Moore of Indianapolis; six nieces and one nephew; and several good friends.

Rosina was preceded in death by a son, Stephan Grisso in 1985; siblings, Joseph C. Jelase and Marianne Rita Fisher.

She enjoyed making rag rugs, baking, crocheting and gardening. Rosina was a lifelong Catholic and was strong in her faith. She attended church at the Indiana Masonic Home Chapel.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center,179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
