Roger L. “Grumpy” Biggs, age 78, passed away Saturday morning, June 6, 2020 at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was born on September 3, 1941 in Iowa. Grumpy was retired from Tri C Construction of Akron, OH where he worked as a Commercial Supervisor.
Grumpy enjoyed fishing, keeping up to date on current news events and caring for his dog, Peaches. He was a fan of NASCAR with Tony Stewart being his favorite driver.
Grumpy is survived by his sons, Doug (Laura) Biggs of Lemont, IL and Larry Biggs of Dana Point, CA; grandchildren, Taylor Biggs of Woodridge, IL and Chad Biggs of Lemont, IL; brother, Gerald (Joyce) Biggs of Lakeside, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Biggs, mother, Dortha Kavanaugh; step father, Frank Kavanaugh; and a sister, Janet Whitaker.
A funeral service will be held on noon on Saturday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bond Cemetery in Nashville.
