Roger C. Martin Jr.

Roger C. ‘Buck’ Martin, Jr., age 56, passed away all too soon Monday morning, February 21, 2022 at his home in Mooresville.

Roger was born January 26,1966, in Indianapolis, to his parents, Roger C. and Jeanette (Okey) Martin Sr. He was a 1984 graduate of Indian Creek High School and went on to proudly serve his country with the United States Army.

Roger was a Driver in many capacities and was most recently a driver for Veterans, taking them to and from the VA Hospital in Indianapolis.  He enjoyed bowling and bowled a 300 score three times, receiving a ring for each of his perfect games. Roger also belonged to the dart league “Just Darts” and also enjoyed watching and playing basketball. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

He will be missed by his father Roger C. Martin Sr of Mooresville; daughters, Harley Martin of Mooresville, Nina Martin and Layla Martin of Decatur Township; life companion, Samantha Cornett of Mooresville; brother, Jake Martin of Bargersville; and brother from another mother, Tony Harbolt of Medical Lake, Washington.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Martin.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery with military rites presented by the Martinsville American Legion and the United States Army.
