Robert 'Rob' G. Herrin

Robert G. ‘Rob’ Herrin, age 65 passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, May 17, 2023 at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was a resident of Brown County.

Rob was born February 18, 1958 in Noblesville to his parents, the late Gene & Joan Lee (Nickey) Herrin. He was a 1976 graduate of Center Grove High School. Rob was a retired Brick Mason who was known for his custom artistry and stonework talent.

He attended the Hoosier Harvest Church in Martinsville and was a former member of the Advent Lutheran Church in Greenwood. Rob’s true passion was working with young men as a volunteer & mentor for the Indiana Dream Team Ministry (IDT) in Martinsville. He also devoted much time volunteering at Lutheran Hills Camp in Brown County.

Rob enjoyed living in the hills of Brown County where he could fish, mushroom hunt and look for that perfect rock. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Rob will be remembered for his spiritual strength and faith in God. 

Rob is survived by his children, Christopher (Kristen) Herrin of Oak Town & Samantha Herrin of Brown County; siblings, Julie (Charles) Muncy of Clayton & John (Christy) Herrin of Lebanon; aunts, Kathryn Nickey of Indianapolis & Jenise Baber of Cherokee Village, AR; grandchildren, Ethan, Addison, Max, Eli, Gabe & Emma Herrin.

In keeping with Rob’s wishes, he will be cremated and a Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
