Rita "Lynette" (Fowler) Satter

Rita ‘Lynette’ (Fowler) Satter, age 62 passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, April 12, 2023 at her son’s home in Monrovia. She was a resident of Morgantown.

Lynette was born on July 30, 1960 in Franklin to her parents, the late Asberry and Harriet “Skeeter” (Duhamell) Fowler.  Lynette married Joseph Satter on September 26, 1997 in Nashville and together they spent 15 years together before his passing in 2013. She worked as a Prep Cook for Atterbury Job Corps for several years and was also a former Certified Nursing Assistant. 

Lynette enjoyed working crosswords, reading murder mystery books and working puzzles. She loved to cook, spend time with family and sit on her porch swing. Lynette also enjoyed watching reruns of The Waltons, as well as, Little House on the Prairie.

She will be missed by her children, Jason (Jamie) Smith of Monrovia & Robin Gale (Andrea Byers) Smith of Martinsville; grandchildren, Jade Smith, Jillian Smith; great grandchild, Jaxston Woolen; siblings, Jack Wayne Fowler & Roger (Marie) Fowler; step-siblings, Shannon (Wanda) Nash, Shawn (Kim) Nash, Wayne (Ghie) Nash and Lester (Angie) Fowler; brother-in-law, Paul Dinkens II, as well as, several nieces and nephews.

Lynette was preceded in death by her father Asberry Fowler, mother Harriet “Skeeter” Nash, infant son, Timothy Eugene Smith and siblings, Diana Burkhart, Heath Fowler and Pamela Dinkens.

She will be laid to rest with her family at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
