Richard was also a member of the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department and was a Reserve Deputy for the Brown County Sherriff’s Department.

Richard’s family often referred to him as a squirrel, meaning he was always on the move, either by helping one in need, working on his Jeep or on his family farm. Richard enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed writing songs and poetry. His true passion was his love for his family, especially his grandchildren and caring for his dog, Aspen.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gina (Hodge) Rosebrock, whom he married on July 18, 1982 in Fairland. He is also survived by his parents, Wayne and Merirose Rosebrock of Brown County; children, Danielle (Chris) Ainsworth of Brown County, Hailey (Michael) Taylor of Poca, West Virginia, Joshua (fiancé, Jessica) Rosebrock, Taylor Rosebrock and Jordan (Kevin) McDaniel all of Brown County; brother, David (Deb) Rosebrock of Brown County; eleven grandchildren and a nephew, Austin Rosebrock of Brown County.
