Paul W. Richhart

Paul W. Richhart, age 82 passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, December 1, 2022 at his home in Trafalgar.

He was born October 9, 1940 in Johnson County, to the late Isaac Justice and Mary Agnes (Dine) Richhart. Paul attended Helmsburg High School and went on to serve as an Airman First Class with the United States Air Force. While in the service, he was stationed for two years in Africa and two years in Amarillo, Texas as a Fuel Specialist. Paul retired in 2003 as a Work Coordinator for Vectren Gas Co. after 34 years of service.

He was a member of the Samaria Christian Church, 50-year member of the Trafalgar Masonic Lodge #413, Johnson County Antique Tractor Club and the National Rifle Association. Paul enjoyed horseback riding and sharpening knives and blades for family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Diana K. (Ellis) Richhart, whom he married on November 16, 1963 in Beech Grove. Paul is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, James, Earl, Leroy, Forrest & Marion Richhart and Pansy Cullum.
