Oliver 'Earl' E. Huffman

November 22, 1946 ~ February 18, 2022 (age 75)


Oliver E. ‘Earl’ Huffman, age 75 passed on to heaven on Friday morning, February 18, 2022 at IU Health – Methodist in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Martinsville and Morgantown.

Earl was born November 22, 1946 in Indianapolis, to his parents, the late Charlie A. and Alice L. (Certain) Huffman Jr. He was a 1966 graduate of Greybull High School in Greybull, Wyoming and went on to attend the University of Wyoming to study Education.

Earl has worked in the HVAC Industry for over 50 years. He was currently employed with Excel Heating and Air Conditioning in Indianapolis as a HVAC Tech and Trainer. Earl has received many certifications in HVAC throughout his career.

He was an active member of the Nineveh Christian Church. Earl enjoyed the outdoors by hunting, fishing and tending to his vegetable garden. He also enjoyed shooting his muzzleloader, traveling and was a sports lover. Earl loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren & great grandchildren, especially attending whatever sport or activity they were participating in.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Beaumont; his children, Tammy (Bobby) Prather of Martinsville, Angela Burnette of Martinsville, Heather (Mike) Spicer of Morgantown and Courtney (Keith) Hickman of Piacenza, Italy; sister, Alice O’Shall of Avon; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death on August 17, 2016 by his first wife, Patricia L. (Eastwood) Huffman. Earl was also preceded in death by siblings, Linda Layman and James Huffman.

The Rev. Tom Knight will conduct a Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 27th at the Nineveh Christian Church, 1231 E. 775 S. in Nineveh. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
