Mrs. Marjie A. Hauser

Marjie A. (Tyler) Hauser, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, May 10, 2019 at her home in Morgantown. She was a former resident of Trafalgar.

Marjie was born February 9, 1928 in Indianapolis to her parents, the late Edward Ephraim and Mary Edith (Demaree) Tyler. She was a 1946 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis and later earned her LPN Degree from IUPUI in 1971.

Marjie was a loving mother, wife and homemaker. She married Ralph M. Hearn in Indianapolis in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1967 after 22 loving years of marriage. Marjie later married Gene F. Hauser and he preceded her in death in 1994. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Wilson; siblings, Virginia Marie Sierp, Opal Mae Pulus and Edna Louise Whitaker; step daughters, Yvonne Carter and Yvette Hauser; and grandson, Colin Neese.

Marjie is survived by her children, Bruce (Bella) Hearn of California, Timothy Hearn of Columbus, Mary (Rodger) Lawrence of Martinsville, Martha (Kevin) McIntosh of Morgantown and Clint Hauser of Nashville, TN; sister, Martha Jean Kavale of Texas; 19 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

She was a member of the Morgantown First Christian Church. Marjie enjoyed quilting, tending to her garden and cooking. Marjie will be remembered for delicious cookies and pies. She was a fan of the television shows, MASH, Andy Griffith and anything with John Wayne.

A funeral service will held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
