Maurice E. Nay

Maurice E. Nay, age 88, passed away Thursday morning, December 24, 2020 at The Waters of Martinsville. He was a resident of Martinsville.

Maurice was born July 20, 1932 in Morgan County, to the late Edwin H. and Edna M. (Antrim) Nay. He was a 1950 graduate of Morgantown High School and went on to retire in 1998 from Riley Chemical where he worked as a Computer Programmer Analysts.

Maurice enjoyed roller skating, tending to his tomato plants and collecting toy trains. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dixie L. (Shoulders) Nay, whom he married on July 28, 1957 in Martinsville. Maurice is also survived by his son, William Nay of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Terrance Nay; siblings, Mary Kemp, Ann Hall, Robert Nay, Charles Nay and Ruth Snyder.

The Rev. Ben Swopes will conduct a graveside service at noon on Wednesday at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
