Mary Reed Obituary

Mary L. (Ferguson) Reed, age 69 passed away on Wednesday morning, November 15, 2023 at her home in Brown County.

Mary was born May 7, 1954 in Beech Grove, to her parents, Paul I. and Pauline (Camerillo) Ferguson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

Mary enjoyed sewing, crocheting and being outdoors. She was a fan of the television shows Mama’s Family and the Golden Girls. Mary loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She will be remembered for her delicious hot meat chili, fresh flour tortillas along with ham & potato casserole.

Mary is survived by her mother, Pauline Ferguson of Franklin; husband, James Kenneth Reed of Brown County; children, Jamie (Mauro) Pucheta-Olin of Brown County, Julia (Ike) Onochie of Danville, James Patrick Reed of Brown County, Mandy (Dail Calah Bustamante) Wood of Brown County, James Kevin Reed of Brown County, Bennie Reed of Brown County, James Blade Reed of Brown County and Nikisha (Omar) Bustamante Zapo of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and one grandson on the way; siblings, Mike Ferguson of Morgantown, Timothy Ferguson of Brown County, Fred Ferguson of Trafalgar, Diana Law of Columbus, Kathy Couch of Brown County, Kenny Ferguson of Morgantown, Paula Lory of Brown County and Annette Hicks of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her father; siblings, Angela Tatum, Patricia First and Carmen Roberts.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, she will be cremated with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a future date. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
