Martha J. (Hawkins) Myers

Martha J. (Hawkins) Myers, age 86 passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, January 6, 2022 at her home in Trafalgar.

She was born December 30, 1935 in Indianapolis to her parents, the late Maurice and Gertrude Hawkins. Martha retired from the United States Postal Service Office in Nineveh, where she worked as a Clerk for over 26 years.

She enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, working around her home and caring for her cats. Martha also enjoyed watching soap operas and will be remembered for her excellent cooking.

She was preceded in death on May 9, 2012 from her loving husband of 56 years, Jack L. Myers, whom she married on July 16, 1955 in Indianapolis. Martha was also preceded in death by siblings, Shirley Price, James Hawkins and Marjorie Hawkins.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Morgan of Trafalgar and Randy Myers of Nineveh; grandson, Dr. Robert Joshua (Veronica) Morgan of Jupiter, Florida; and great grandchildren, Ella and Luke Morgan of Jupiter, Florida.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
