Luther "Luke" David

Luther “Luke” David, age 44 passed away all too soon on Friday, June 19, 2020 at his residence in Columbus. He was a former resident of Morgantown and Brown County.

Luke was born February 3, 1976 in McKenzie, Tennessee, to his parents, Charles L. and Theresa (Irving) David.

He formerly worked as a grocery stocker at the Morgantown IGA and the Morgantown General Store. Luke also formerly worked at McDonald’s in Columbus. He enjoyed playing basketball, caring for all kinds of animals and working on model cars. Luke was collector hats, eagles and wolves. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time and helping with children.

Luke is survived by his mother, Theresa Gregory of Morgantown; siblings, Valerie Jo (David) Kemp of Morgantown, Andy (Carrie) David of Brown County and Jason David of Morgantown; several nieces & nephews and great nieces and nephews.                

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles L. David; and a sister, Misty Dawn David.

The Rev. Lee Snider will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Friday at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
