Lucy (Cole) Law

Lucy (Cole) Law, age 70, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday evening, November 7, 2023 at her home in Brown County.

Lucy was born May 22, 1953 in Indianapolis, to her parents, the late Robert M. and Barbara F. (Pickett) Cole and attended Ben Davis High School. Lucy previously worked for Maus & Elam Dental Lab in Indianapolis and later at For Bare Feet in Brown County and Martinsville as a seamstress. In 1984, Lucy met the love of her life, Ken L. Law, and spent the next 40 years together. They were joined in marriage on November 2, 1996 in Bean Blossom.

Lucy was a past member of the Ace Coon Club. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors by horse riding, coon hunting with her husband, camping and boating. Lucy also enjoyed playing Klondike on the computer. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and taking care of her cats BooBoo, Sassy & Baby Girl.

She will be missed by her loving husband, Ken L. Law of Brown County; daughters: Carrie David of Morgantown, and Robin Frey of Monrovia; grandchildren, Meaghan David, Chrystopher (Brittney) David and Kirsten Frey; great grandchildren, Christian David, Lydia Fletcher and Laney Fletcher; aunt, Shirley Pickett of Milan; sister, Mary Hensley of Florida and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Sue Norris and Bobby Cole.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
