Lorna Dee (Leggins) Miller

Lorna Dee (Leggins) Miller, age 88 passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, September 17, 2023 at her home in Brown County.

Lorna was born April 12, 1935, in Johnson County and attended Brown County High School in Nashville. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed sewing, reading and working jigsaw & crossword puzzles. Lorna also enjoyed watching her hummingbirds. She was a longtime member of the Unity Baptist Church in Brown County.

She was preceded in death on May 18, 2002 by her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas H. Miller, whom she married on January 13, 1952 in Indianapolis. Lorna was also preceded in death by her parents, Grover Wycoff and Audrey Leggins; children, Nelson Miller & Teresa Roberts & Irene Sanders; siblings, Kay Hughes, Rose Fluharty, Dorothy Newton, Linda Lambert, Pat Shinn, Buddy Bolton & infant brother, Ronald Bolton.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Nikki) Miller of Brown County, Mary (William) Pierce of Franklin, David Miller of Brown County, Joy (Paul) Elkins of Needham, Melissa (Jeffery) Taylor of Edinburgh & Amanda Lang of Trafalgar; siblings, William Bolton of Bloomington, Beverly (John) Campbell of Brown County, Donna Terrill of Bloomington & Lory (Charles) Craig of Bloomington; several grandchildren, great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.

In keeping with Lorna’s wishes, there will be no services and she will be laid to rest beside her husband at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Brown County. Funeral services have been entrusted to Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
