Linda S. (Burkhart) Johnson

Linda S. (Burkhart) Johnson, age 62, passed away Wednesday morning, February 5, 2020 at her home in Brown County.

Linda was born July 24, 1957, in Indianapolis to her parents, Rev. Frank and Marie (Roberts) Burkhart Jr. She was a 1975 graduate of Brown County High School.

Linda retired in 2018 after working in Home Healthcare as an CNA in Brown County and the surrounding communities. Prior to that, she worked as a Press Operator for Tuscarora Plastics in Martinsville.

Linda attended the Locust Grove Pentecostal Church in Trafalgar. She enjoyed the outdoors by mushroom and ginseng hunting and collecting geodes. Linda also enjoyed playing video games. She will be remembered for her homemade turkey and deer jerky.

Linda is survived by her mother, Marie Burkhart of Peoga; children, Sherry Eisenmenger of Morgantown, Joy (Scottie) Stamper of Austin and Bobby Eisenmenger of Brown County; siblings, Oscar (Emily) Burkhart of Monroe, GA and Vickie (Jay) Griffie of Brown County; grandchildren, Michael Pritchard, Alexis Williams, Frankie Eisenmenger, Cara Stamper, Scottie Jr. Stamper, Titus Stamper and Trinity Stamper; great grandchildren, Malachi and Gabrielle Mullins.  

The Rev. Jay Griffie will conduct a funeral service at noon on Saturday at the Locust Grove Pentecostal Church, 3522 Peoga Road in Trafalgar. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
