Judith K. ‘Judi’ Benson, age 59, passed away all too soon on Wednesday afternoon, November 17, 2021 at her home in Brown County.
She was born August 11, 1962 in Bloomington to her parents, Leon and Etta Louise (Eller) Benson. Judi attended Bloomington North High School and went on to study photography at Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus.
Judi worked as a photographer and bartended & waitressed at various restaurants in Brown County for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music and watching tv, with The Bachelor and Little House on the Prairie being her favorite shows. Judi was an animal lover and enjoyed caring for her geese, cats and her dog, Stella. She also enjoyed helping out at the Fowladega Go-Cart Track in Brown County.
She will be missed by her son, Greg (Michelle) Barrow of Bedford; lifelong companion, Allen Fowler of Brown County; siblings, Dianna L. Poling of Unionville, Rhea Dawn (Rick) May of Bloomington and Pamela Slater of Brown County.
Judi was preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Eric Fowler; brother-in-law, Mike Slater; nephews, Marty Fleener & Tim Poling; and a niece Jana May
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spearsville Wesleyan Cemetery in Brown County. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
