Jacqueline S. ‘Jackie’ (Taynor) Presley, age 75 passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, February 23, 2022 at her home in Camby. She was a former resident of Brown County.
Jackie was born June 2, 1946 in Ohio, to her parents, the late James T. and Mary E. (Frye) Taynor. She was a 1964 graduate of Brown County High School. Jackie was retired from the LaRue Carter State Hospital in Indianapolis, where she worked in Medical Records.
Jackie was preceded in death on February 7, 2008 by her loving husband of 43 years, Ronnie H. Presley Sr., whom she married on July 30, 1964 in Brown County. She enjoyed tending to her indoor plants, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles, collecting cookbooks and traveling when she was younger. Jackie was a fan of the Gameshow Network and old western movies with John Wayne being her favorite actor. She was also an avid reader of Danielle Steel and James Patterson novels. Jackie loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Ella (husband, Johnny) Sams and Ronnie H. (Amy Stewart) Presley Jr. both of Camby; sister, Linda Brooks of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Heaven Grubbs of Indianapolis, James Armitage of Indianapolis and Katie Armitage of North Carolina; and great grandchildren, John Jr., Zelda, J.J., Mitchel and Link.
The Rev. Burt Brock will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
