Jack Critser, age 88, passed Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at his home in Noblesville.
Jack was born December 17, 1934 in Beech Grove to his parents, the late Sidney M. and Mable R. (Zike) Critser. He was a graduate of Helmsburg High School and went on to serve his country with the United States Army as a Specialist Third Class during the Korean War. Jack met the love of his life, Linda Jones, and they were married in 1955 while both serving their country. They were blessed with two children and 62 years of marriage until her passing in 2017.
Jack worked as a Carpenter and belonged to the Carpenters Local Union 301 in Indianapolis. He enjoyed offshore sailing, fishing and camping with his wife in their RV. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage, loved people watching, bird watching and spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered most for his fun personality and sense of humor.
Jack will be missed by his children: Timothy (Suzanne) Critser of Flag Pond, Tennessee and Tamatha (Mike) Pahs of Carmel; grandchildren, Timothy Critser, Anna (Patrick) Magee, Jack Critser, Jonathon Pahs and Jessica Pahs; great grandchildren, Theodora and Patrick and siblings, David (Nina) Critser and Barbara Smith both of Brown County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda, brother-in-law, Bud Smith and sister, Patty Walker.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Saturday, November 4th at the Clay Township Trustee’s Office: 10701 N. College Ave B. Nora, IN 46280. Friends and family are welcome to visit and join in light refreshments and fellowship between the hours of 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Military honors will be presented at 1 p.m. by the United States Army and the Indy Metropolitan Military Honor Guard.
Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
