Gary L. Gregory, age 67, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2021 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Morgantown.
Gary was born December 31, 1953 at Camp Atterbury, to his parents, the late Arnold L. and Dorothy M. (Merriman) Gregory. He worked as a Machinist for over 40 years, retiring in 2002 from Rexnord Industries in Indianapolis. After retirement, Gary worked on the Floor Crew at Walmart in Franklin for over 10 years.
He enjoyed coin collecting, working on cars and tinkering in his garage and yard. Gary loved his country and was a true Patriot who kept up with current events & politics. Gary loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved watching his daughter Selena, play football and basketball at Indian Creek Middle School.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Roenna (Butler) Gregory, whom he married on October 30, 1999 in Martinsville. Gary is also survived by his children, Cathy Garrett of Franklin, Lori (Jeff) Johnson and Selena Felton, both of Morgantown, Brian Butler and Eugene (Amanda) Butler, both of Bloomington; siblings, Theresa (Daniel) Hiatt of Morgantown and Kevin Gregory of Fruitdale; grandchildren, Kacey (Gabrielle) Garrett of Franklin, Kaitlynn Garrett of Franklin, Zachery (Nikiya) Johnson of Spencer, Nicholas (Jessica) Johnson of Paragon, Elijah (Mariah) Johnson of Martinsville, Kassandra (Seth) Johnson of Morgantown, Cassandra (Ben) Conlin of Bloomington and Brianna Butler of Bloomington; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Khaleesi, Kameron, Daisy Mae, Juniper, Skylar and Ben Jr., Luke, Angeline and Adalyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sherry Walker and his beloved dog, Ginger.
The Rev. John Bell will conduct a funeral service on Monday at 7 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home. All guests attending visitation and/or services will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment.
