Evelyn L. (Yoder) Gardner, age 87 passed away peacefully on Friday evening, February 9, 2024 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.
Evelyn was born March 7, 1936 in Indianapolis, to her parents, the late Dilmer and Helen (Porter) Yoder and attended Nineveh High School. She retired from Norplex in Franklin after 20 years of service. After retirement, she worked for Cabinets by Nichols in Bargersville as a sander.
Evelyn was a 30+ year member of the New Life Baptist Church in Franklin. Prior to that, she was a member of First Mt. Pleasant. Evelyn enjoyed reading the bible, watching old comedies on tv and spending time outside by walking or taking her car out for a drive. Most of all, she loved taking care of her dog, Daisy, and spending time with her family.
She will be missed by her children, Ann (Jerry) Vansickle and Nancy (Jeff) Morton both of Trafalgar, Greg Gardner and Judy Brandt both of Franklin; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and brother, Phil (Kay) Yoder of Bargersville.
The Pastor Frank Finney will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 16th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin following the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
