Duane O. Cline, age 85, passed away on Saturday morning, January 18, 2020 at Springhurst Health in Greenfield. He was a resident of Greenfield.
He was born December 29, 1934, in Scottsville, Kentucky to the late R.C. Carlie and Myrtle (Basham) Cline. Duane married Mary Benefiel on July 3, 1954 in Indianapolis. She survives after 65 loving and devoted years of marriage.
Duane retired as a fork lift driver for Allied Grocers in Indianapolis after 26 years of service.
He enjoyed camping, squirrel hunting, and working on cars and lawn mowers. He loved listening to country music and spending time with family.
Duane is survived by his wife Mary of Greenfield, children: Cathie Cline of Morristown, Debbie McBride of Indianapolis, sister Joann (Ted) Green of Ocala, FL and grandchildren: Tabatha (Denver) Ramey and Joseph McBride both of Indianapolis, 5 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents, grandchild James (Shannon) Wagers, siblings: Hazel Mineer, Viola Waynescott and Carlie Cline Jr.
Mr. Ray Burkhart will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Unity Baptist Cemetery in Brown County.
