Donna J. (Plummer) LaMar

Donna J. (Plummer) LaMar, age 60 passed away all too soon on Monday evening, August 1, 2022 at Franciscan Health in Mooresville.  She was a lifelong resident of Martinsville.

Donna was born February 20, 1962, at the Morgan County hospital in Martinsville, to her parents, the late Maurice "Bill" and Barbara Ellen (Kincaid) Plummer.  She married Karl E. LaMar on May 19, 1979 in Martinsville.  He survives after 43 loving years of marriage.

Donna worked as a Nurse’s Aide throughout Morgan County for 10 years. She read a daily prayer and occasionally attended the Baptist Church in Brooklyn until they closed their doors. Most of all Donna had a love for children and through the years took care of neighborhood kids, her grandkids and her great grandson. She will be remembered most for being everyone’s mom.

She will be missed by her husband, Karl; children, Heather Russell and Thomas LaMar all of Martinsville; grandchildren, Levi, William, Karl, Logan, Delanie, Alivia, Jacob and Landyn; great grandson Nolan; siblings, Helen (Jack) Hunter of Martinsville, Debbie Plummer of Greenwood, Maureen Plummer of Cartersburg, Dea McKinney of Martinsville and several nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, 2 infant sisters and her great grandson, Owen.

Visiting hours for Donna will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Monday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
