Dana M. (Clayburn) McDonald, age 61, passed away all too soon on Saturday Morning, April 25, 2020 at her home in Franklin. 

She was born March 29, 1959 in Franklin and attended Edinburgh High School. Dana worked in the Receiving Department at Caterpillar in Franklin for the past 6 years.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Gregory “Chew” McDonald, whom she married on June 4, 1988 in Martinsville. Dana is also survived by her children, David Ray (Reina) Hawkins of Louisville, KY and Gwen (Randy) Rainwater of Morgantown; siblings, Lorene (Jerry) Cleefman of Sweetwater, Barbara Cave of Trafalgar, Tony Clayburn of Franklin and Miles (Linda) Clayburn of Trafalgar; grandson, Gaige Rainwater of Morgantown.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maybelle (Falor) Willard; father, Tommy Clayburn; and a brother, Joe Clayburn.

Dana enjoyed spending time with family and caring for her dog, Willy. She also enjoyed the outdoors, walking in the woods, fishing and traveling. Dana was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR, with Jeff Gordon as her favorite driver. She loved shopping, especially for shoes.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private family graveside service will take place at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Funeral services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
