Connie S. (Beatty) Dile

Connie S. (Beatty) Dile, age 78, passed away Wednesday morning, November 6, 2019 at Columbus Regional Hospital.  She was a resident of Columbus and a former resident of Franklin.

Connie was born May 13, 1941 in Indianapolis, to her parents the late Willard J. and Doris L. (Grindstaff) Beatty.  She was a 1959 graduate of Helmsburg High School.

Connie retired in 1996 from the Facilities Department of Northrop Aircraft Corporation in Hawthorne, CA after 19 years of service. She was a fan of the Indiana Pacers, Christian music and America’s Got Talent & American Idol television shows. Connie also enjoyed reading her Bible and caring for her dogs, Baby and Peaches. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her children, Leada (Dean) Carr of Midway, GA, Dodie Dile of Columbus and Jack (Laura) Bowden of Queens Creek, AZ; father of her children, Ray (Maryann) Dile of North Vernon; grandchildren, Major and Jada Dile, Marc and Matthew Phelps, Jaclyn Wilkinson, Stacy Mielke, Kelcie, Corey and Randall Bowden; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Douglas Ray Dile, and a brother: Randall J. Beatty.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 13th at 1 p.m. at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.  Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Brown County Memorial Cemetery in Nashville.
