Charles E. Dodson

Charles E. Dodson, age 53, passed away all too soon on Saturday morning, March 28, 2020 at home with his loving family around him.  He was a resident of Columbus.

Charles was born August 26, 1966 in Monroe, Michigan. He worked as a Die Caster for Ryobi in Shelbyville prior to taking ill. Charles was a member of the Locust Grove Pentecostal Church in Trafalgar and enjoyed riding his scooter, listening to gospel music and watching western movies. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren.

Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Donna M. (Emerson) Dodson, whom he married on March 18, 1989 at the Locust Grove Pentecostal Church in Trafalgar. Charles is also survived by his mother, Juanita Brummett of Paoli; children, Andrew Dodson, Renea (Stephen) Rice, Amillia (Greg) Sizemore, Tiva Dodson and Marcus Dodson, all of Columbus; siblings, Roberta Sizemore of Florida, Scott (Angie) Lowe, James (Jamie) Dodson and Casey (Jean) Dodson, all of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Stephen Rice, Calli and Preston Sizemore.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Jr. Dodson.

Bro. Jay Griffie will conduct a private family graveside service at the Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Brown County. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
