Brenen C. Head, age 55 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday evening, November 13, 2023 at Grand Valley Health & Rehab in Martinsville. He was a resident of Martinsville.
Brenen was born December 2, 1967 in Martinsville to his parents, Thomas and Vicki (Schaffer) Head. He attended Martinsville High School. Brenen’s diverse skills and passions made him a remarkable individual. He was a man of many trades, from being a dedicated trainer of German Shepherd K9 Search & Rescue dogs to excelling as a machinist, EMT and chef.
Brenen was a member of the Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church in Morgantown. He enjoyed the outdoors by hiking, fishing and hunting. Brenen also enjoyed tending to his garden and raising chickens. He was a fan of NASCAR with Tony Stewart being his favorite driver. He was also a fan of Big Foot documentaries. Brenen will be forever missed by his family and especially his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
He is survived by his mother, Vicki Head of Carmel; daughters, Maleshia (Jake) Pierson, Breonna (Jeremy) Woodford & Kierra (Jared) Kuszmaul all of Martinsville; sisters, Sonja (Rick) Reuter of Virginia, Gina (Mike) Nulph of Carmel & Miranda (Eric) Green of Connecticut; companion, LaDonna Robinson of Martinsville; longtime best friend, Josh “Pete” Daniels of Tennessee; grandchildren, Jasper, McKenna, Vivian and Madison.
Brenen was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Head.
The Rev. Matt Satter will conduct a Celebration of Life Service on Monday. November 20th at 7 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends and family may call from 5 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
