Allen V. Ford, age 74, with his loving and devoted wife, Regina, by his side, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, December 2, 2021 at his home in Trafalgar.
Allen was born June 7, 1947 in Indianapolis, to his parents, the late Wayne N. and Wanda B. (King) Ford. After attending high school, Allen served as a Corporal with the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He went to serve as a Sergeant First Class with the Indiana National Guard for more than 25 years. Allen retired in 2012 from the State of Indiana where he worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator after 12 years of service.
He enjoyed collecting Allis Chalmers Tractors and worked on small engines in his spare time. Allen also enjoyed fishing, listening to blue grass music and spending time with his sons and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Regina C. (Hockensmith) Ford, whom he married on August 23, 1968 in Whiteland. Allen is also survived by his son, Barry (Angela) Ford of Martinsville; grandchildren, Megan Cunningham of Greensburg and Hunter Ford of McDonald, PA; brother-in-law, Richard Hockensmith of Bangor, MI and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Monty Ford; sister, Carol Litteral; and a brother-in-law, Bob Litteral.
A graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
