Alice F. (Marshall) Stevens

Alice F. (Marshall) Stevens, age 83 passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022 at Otterbein Franklin Senior Life Community.  She was a longtime resident of Nineveh and Trafalgar.

Alice was born July 21, 1938 in Nineveh, to her parents, the late Jacob L. and Marjorie (Barrett) Marshall. She was a 1956 graduate of Nineveh High School and went on to graduate from Beauty College. Alice retired in 1980 as the owner and operator of Alice’s Beauty Shop in Nineveh, where she worked out of her home for many years.

Alice enjoyed talking with people, spending time with family, and traveling to Tennessee and Las Vegas, where she enjoyed playing the penny slot machines.

Alice is survived by her devoted husband, Cecil “Dee de” Stevens whom she married in July of 1956. She is also survived by her loving daughter, Brandi (Brad) Rund of Trafalgar; two amazing grandchildren, Brady and Brianna, who were the light of her life; and a sister, Juanita Burton of Tennessee.  

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Keith Barrett Sr. and a sister, Wilma Forsyth.

The Rev. David Owens will conduct a celebration of Alice’s life at noon on Friday at the Nineveh Christian Church, 1231 E. 775 S. in Nineveh. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
