He was born June 9, 1953, in Fort Wayne, to his parents, the late Robert and Barbara (Haines) Myers. Tommy was a 1971 graduate of Homestead High School in Fort Wayne and went on to serve as a Private First Class in the United States Marine Corps.

Tommy was retired from Beatrice International in Chicago where he worked as a Research Scientist. After retirement, Tommy worked in the maintenance department at the Abe Martin Lodge in Nashville for 26 years, retiring in 2014.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Melissa ‘Missy’ A. (Arndt) Myers, whom he married on January 11, 1995 in Brown County. Tommy is also survived by his daughters, Christina (Scott Stephenson) Myers of Brown County, Jennifer (B.J.) Fesselmeyer of Bloomington, and Destiny Myers of Brown County, siblings: Richard (Elaine) Myers of Zephyrhills, Florida, Karen (Terry) Stoy and Steve Howell, both of Angola.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Howell.

Tommy attended the Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brown County. In his free time, he enjoyed woodcarving, fishing and building boats.
