Mrs. Anna L. Bailey

Anna L. (Baker) Bailey, age 64, passed away all too soon on Saturday morning, July 27, 2019 at her home in Brown County.

She was born February 24, 1955 in Indianapolis, to her parents, the late Edgar and Nina (Spears) Baker. Anna married Dwayne D. Bailey Sr. on April 22, 1978 in Indianapolis. He lovingly survives after 41 devoted years of marriage.

Anna is also survived by her children, Amber (John) Baker of Brown County and Dwayne (Leah) Bailey Jr. of Morgantown; siblings, Jacquelin (George) Burns and Danny Baker, both of Indianapolis; grandchildren Billy, Mason and Autumn Bryant, Kelsey, Craegan and Kyson Bailey; great granddaughter, Taylor Blankenship.

She was a retired certified nursing assistant and worked at various nursing homes for over 20 years. Anna also worked as a manager at Steak n' Shake, doughnut fryer at the Morgantown IGA and Deli Clerk at the Brown County IGA.

Anna enjoyed the outdoors by camping, fishing and tending to her vegetable garden. She was a fan of crime and mystery television shows and playing Euchre & Shanghai Rummy. Anna also enjoyed caring for her many cats and various farm animals. She will be remembered for her love of family and her famous "Birdie Cake" that she would bake for them.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
