Mr. Michael Osborn Obituary

Michael W. Osborn, age 64, passed away all too soon on Friday, June 28, 2019 at his home in Nashville.

He was born April 30, 1955, in Indianapolis, to his parents, the late Carl and Louise (Smith) Osborn. Michael was a 1973 graduate of Brown County High School in Indianapolis. He later earned a Bachelor's Degree in 2006 from Indiana University, majoring in General and East Asian Studies.

Michael worked as a quality inspector for General Electric for many years and sold insurance for Mutual of Omaha before retiring. He enjoyed reading, spending time with his pet macaw, Ava, watching documentaries, boating at Lake Lemon and Lake Monroe, gardening, collecting decorative glass, identifying different rocks and geodes as well as attending rock and gem shows . He had a love of cars and would spend afternoons test driving and comparing the latest vehicle models. Most of all Michael had a strong love for his family, especially his grandchildren.

He will be missed by his children: Melissa (Rustin) Ball and Jessica (Chris) McFadden both of Franklin, Best Friend: Steve Hickman of Jasper, Step-Father, George Scott of Trevlac, grandchildren: Aubrey Harden, Arabella Day and Isaac McFadden and siblings: Theresa Smith of Morgantown, Steven Osborn and Brian (Barb) Osborn both of Brown County.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother: Louise Scott, father: Carl Osborn and infant children: Jason and Kelly Osborn.

In keeping with his wishes, Michael will be cremated with a private family gathering to be held at a later date. Cremation Services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
