Kenneth C. ‘Kenny’ Woolston, age 80 passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, September 8, 2019 at Franklin Meadows. He was a resident of Morgantown.
Kenny was born April 27, 1939, in Gibson County, to his parents, the late Ennes and Ruby Mae (Scales) Woolston. He was a 1957 graduate of Fort Branch High School.
Kenny retired in 2005 as a Maintenance Engineer with the Atterbury Job Corps, Management and Training Corporation after 38 years of service.
He enjoyed the outdoors by tending to his yard, mushroom hunting, fishing and playing golf. Kenny was a sports fanatic watching any sporting event on television. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna D. (Rairdon) Woolston, whom he married on May 29, 1971 in Whiteland. Kenny is also survived by his children, Kenneth C. Woolston Jr. of Edinburgh, Tracy L. Woolston of Cincinnati, OH, Christopher G. (Sherry) Woolston of Rushville and Gregory D. ‘Greg’ Woolston of Morgantown; siblings, Beulah Mae Miller of Daleville, Judith Ann Buck of Fishers, Dennis Ray Woolston of Evansville, Zella Marie Frey of Owensville and Steven Michael Woolston of Rockville; grandchildren, Riley, Cade, Jeff, Blare, McKenzie, Jamie, Jordan, Aaron and Cody Woolston; great grandchildren, Dustin and Ashton Woolston; and several nieces and nephews.
Kenny was preceded in death by siblings, Thelma Lee Shaw, William Ennes Woolston, Bettie Ruth Shaw, James ‘Fred’ Woolston, Jerry Allen Woolston, Donald Wayne Woolston, Carol Jean Davis, Robert Earl Woolston and David Von Woolston.
The Rev. Burt Brock will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
