Carolyn D. (Parrish) Rund

Carolyn D. (Parrish) Rund, age 77, passed away all too soon on Thursday afternoon, December 26, 2019 at IU Health - Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was a resident of Trafalgar.

Carolyn was born February 9, 1942 in Eminence, to her parents, the late Samuel and Zora (Donaldson) Parrish.  She was a 1960 graduate of Eminence High School.      

At the age of 77, Carolyn was still employed at the Amtrak Maintenance Facility in Beech Grove where she worked as a Carmen for the past 30 years.

Carolyn is a member of the Transport Workers Union of America Local 2003 and the Fellowship Baptist Church in Trafalgar, where she enjoyed working in the nursery. Carolyn loved spending time with and traveling with her family. She enjoyed working in her garden and will be remembered for her baking, especially her snickerdoodle cookies.    

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Victor G. Rund, whom she married on April 1, 1966 in Eminence. Carolyn is also survived by her children, Victor (Jennifer) Rund of Laurens, South Carolina and Annette (Matthew) Cloward of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; sister, America Landrum of Jamestown; and grandchildren, Jonathan and Kaitlyn Cloward both of Fountain Inn, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Rosalie Bolton, Nina Scherer, Marilyn Evans, Esther Parrish, Josephine Malham, Albert Parrish and Charles Parrish.

The Rev. Jeff Hopson will conduct a Celebration of Carolyn’s Life on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 4743 600 W. in Trafalgar. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time on Friday at the church. Funeral services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
