| Service Date: | The Rev. Jim Ranard will conduct a funeral service 11 am Monday at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bellsville Cemetery in Brown County with a meal immediately following at the Harmony Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. |
Vicy P. (Coffey) Rea, age 75 went to be with her Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ on Thursday Afternoon, April 22, 2010 at the Hospice
of South Central Indiana in Columbus. She was a resident of
Nashville.
Vicy was born January 16, 1935 in Jackson County, Kentucky to the
late Allen and Edna Francis (Bowles) Coffey. Vicy was the youngest
of five children. She married her devoted husband of 56 years,
Gerald Rea on December 26, 1953 in Jellico, Tenn. He lovingly
survives.
Vicy and Gerald raised their three children together: Brenda
Longtin and her husband Jay, Beverly Vasquez and her husband Rick
both all of Brown County & Dale Rea and his wife Stacey of
Angier, N.C. They were blessed with seven grandchildren: Buck
Melton, Leigh Ann Melton, Manuel Vasquez, Nina Lucas, Jessica
Williamson, Greg Rea and Crystal Rea, as well as, 11 great
grandchildren.
For many years, Vicy was the secretary & bookkeeper for the
family business, Rea's Oil Company in Nashville. While taking care
of those duties, she was also busy running a household and raising
her family. She enjoyed bird watching, her pets, flower gardening,
her children and grandchildren. She was a blessing to all who knew
her and will be deeply missed.
