Service Date:The Rev. James Brown will conduct a funeral service at 10:00 am Saturday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery Morgantown.

Louise (Hatchett) Law, age 72 passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 18, 2010 at her residence in Brown County.

She was born in Brown County on June 29, 1938, to the late Wesley and Martha (Pruitt) Hatchett. Louise is survived by her husband and best friend Milton R. Law of Brown County, whom she married on March 24, 1999 in Martinsville.

She is also survived by her two daughters: Debbie S. Roberts of Freetown & Deana M. Law and husband Mike of Brown County; two step-daughters: Carol J. Minnick and her husband Bob of Poland & Gayle Roberts and her husband Kenny of Brown County; four step-sons: Jeff Law of Columbus, Mike Law and his wife Deana & Ken Law and his wife Lucy both of Brown County & Lynn Law and his wife Sylvia of Columbus. Louise will be remembered by her two brothers: Bernard Hatchett and his wife Jenny & Paul Hatchett both of Brown County. She was mamaw to several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her first husband: Dean Allender; son: James Patrick Allender and a great granddaughter: Alyssa Roberts.

She was a loving mother and homemaker and attended the Bean Blossom Baptist Church in Brown County. Louise worked in the Meat Dept. at the Bean Blossom IGA during the late 1980's and early 90's. Prior to that, she worked for the Fiesta Grocery in Nashville for 25 years.

Louise enjoyed listening to country music, raising peacocks, watching & feeding birds especially hummingbirds and cardinals. Louise loved to cook for her family and cherished the time spent with her many grandchildren.
