Ruth Ann Culp - Barner, age 67 passed away Saturday evening June
25, 2011 at Bloomington Hospital. She was a resident of
Nashville.
Ruth was born on September 23, 1943 in Helmsburg to the late Robert
A. and Letha J. (Snyder) Board. She married Steven M. Barner on
September 21, 2000. He survives.
Other survivors include one son: Michael (wife, Jennie) Culp of
Nashville; one sister: Diana (husband, Jerry) Presnell of Johnson
City, Tenn.; one brother: Frank (wife, Beth) Board of Flagstaff,
AZ; three grandchildren Selena Stewart, Lauren & Elijah Culp
all of Nashville; and caregiver & close friend: Pam
Maddox.
Ruth retired in 2007, as the Supervisor of Salad Bar/ Baker for the
Brown County Inn, after 15 years of service.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and dog "Freckles".
She was a fan of NASCAR with Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhart Jr.
being her favorite drivers. Ruth enjoyed collecting angels,
crocheting and working jig saw puzzles.
The Rev. Paul Harden will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 pm,
Thursday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation &
Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
Friends may call from 11 am until time of service on Thursday at
the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in
Nashville.
