Robert J. Bartley age 81 passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at
Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of
Greenwood.
Robert was born April 15, 1930 in Rockville to the late William
Russell and Alice Elizabeth (Fellows) Bartley. He married Eris L.
(Kiado) on July 10, 1949 in Parke County. She survives in Greenwood
after 61 loving years of marriage.
He is survived by two daughters: Vickie Terrell of Clearwater, FL
& Nikki (Ernest) Arney of Greenwood; one son: Robert W. Bartley
of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and six great
grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Coleman &
Doris Pickett
Robert was a 1948 graduate of Mecca High School. He retired in 1985
as a Production Factory Worker with the Union Carbide Company in
Indianapolis after 35 years of service. Robert enjoyed leather
working.
Per Roberts's request, there will be no funeral services and
memorial contributions are encouraged by his family to the Riley
Children's Hospital, 50 S. Meridian St. Indianapolis, IN 46204.
