Robert "Bob" N. Price, age 73 passed away Thursday afternoon,
July 7, 2011 at his residence in Brown County. He was a former
resident of Indianapolis.
Bob was born April 19, 1938 in Terre Haute to the late Philip M.
& Clarice E. (Botner) Price. He married his loving wife of 51
years, Dorothy J. Harlow on October 29, 1959 in Portsmouth,
VA.
Bob graduated from High School in 1956 in Terre Haute and went on
to serve his country as a Petty Officer with the United States
Navy. After returning from duty, he went on to receive his
Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Indiana
Central College in Indianapolis.
He retired in 1998 as a Systems Analyst/Project Manger for EDS in
Indianapolis after 37 years of service. Bob was a member of the
Cottonwood Christian Church in Brown County, Morgantown Masonic
Lodge #358, Mensa International and the Brown County Historical
Society. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine
and the Central Indiana Purple Martin Association. Bob and his wife
enjoyed square dancing in the Buck and Does Square Dancing
Club.
He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading. Bob was a fan of the
Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers.
Bob is survived by his loving wife: Dorothy "Dottie" J. Price of
Brown County; two sons: John P. (wife, Elizabeth) Price and Bob N.
(wife, Rhonda) Price both of Indianapolis. He will be remembered by
his two grandchildren: Bobby & Virginia Hammer both of
Indianapolis and great grandson: Anthony Hammer of Indianapolis;
one brother: Dale (wife, Cheryl) Price of Portland, OR.
The Rev. Ken Smith will conduct a funeral service 10:30 am Monday
at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization
Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from
2 to 6 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will be
conducted by the Morgantown Masonic Lodge at 5:30 on Sunday at the
funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown
with graveside rites presented by the Brown County American Legion
& Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guards.
