Rebecca Ann (Kean) Roll, aged 62 passed away Wednesday morning
April 6, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. She was a
resident of Indianapolis.
Rebecca was born February 7, 1949 in Franklin to William Ralph and
Betty (Francis) Kean. She married her devoted husband of 26 years,
John S. Roll III on December 15, 1984 in Springfield, TN. He
survives.
Rebecca was a loving mother and homemaker.
She is survived by her mother: Betty Kean of Jamestown, KY and was
the loving mother to two daughters: Dawnyel (fiancée Ronnie) Hall
of Greenwood, Shawn (fiancée Shane) Hall of Avon; five sons: Jack
(wife, Samantha) Hall, Shannon (fiancée Shannon) Hall, Corey
(fiancée, Diane) Roll, John S. (wife, Heather) Roll IV all of
Indianapolis and Robert (fiancée Alexus) Roll of Greenwood. Rebecca
will be missed by her 28 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
three sisters: Vickie Crouch of Greencastle, Mary E. Carter of
Jamestown, KY, and Kathy L. Kiger of Westville, IL; three brothers:
Robert S. Kean and John W. Kean both of Russell Springs, KY &
Michael H. Kean of Greencastle.
She was preceded in death by her father: William Ralph Kean;
daughter: Loretta McGowan and a brother: Ernest J. Bland.
Rebecca enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking breads and pies. She
loved to watch American Idol & Are You Smarter than a 5th
Grader television shows. Rebecca was a fan of country music and
enjoyed listening to Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline. She enjoyed
taking care of her grandchildren and her dog "Puddles". Rebecca was
very proud of her Native American heritage and traveled with her
family to South Dakota to celebrate and learn about her
culture.
Pastor Thad Roll will conduct a funeral service 2 pm Saturday at
Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization
Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from
11:00 am till time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
